i heard that you get some skins if you had a borderlands 1 save.
edit: in other words, no op benefits, just the ability to look different right off the back. --- http://mm-hk.com/referral/3e045814e8f8cabdc8cd33d7cb88c4fb5bc5e489

One of the videos on YouTube had someone from GearBox saying that there would be cosmetic perks to having a game save from the original Borderlands. --- Stop complaining. I could have done this more painfully. - Dryad from Sacred 2.

There's some special skins, but that's it. You can also get 10% off on Steam at the moment if you happen to own the original, which is a pretty goo deal if you plan on picking the game up at launch. --- rawr

I deleted my borderlands save and uninstalled the game a while ago. Do you need a savegame with completion or just a save game ? If its just a save game i will just fire up the game and save once.

The announcements on the news sites say just when it detects a save, so installing and saving once seems like it would get the job done. --- I believe in Artemis Hound & John Magnum The heroes 215 deserve.

yeah you get the 10% on steam if and only if you purchased BL1 on steam
if you had a retail box of BL1 you didn't qualify for the 10%, even if it was added as a non steam game --- i7 2600k 5.4 (!) GHZ | H70 Hydro Cooling | 1TB SATA3 6GB/S HHD | 8 GB DDR3-1600 Dominator Ram | AMD Radeon HD 6970 | 850W Power
