~ consoles should never be given to the public. an if they are they should be raped of all privileges and only used for debugging. Like the BF3 console.

"oh you wanna enable FPS meter, sure."
but
"oh you wanna give yourself 500M while teleporting and ducing nades my the truck load, auto uninstalls game for you"

The Elder Scrolls games and games running on the source engine would like to have a talk with you.

Fallout 3/NV as well. Dev console is the reason why I don't mind all the bugs in those games.
Character stuck? Noclip it.
Quest doesn't start? Force it.

God gave man a brain and a ****. Too bad he didn't give us enough blood to use them both @ the same time....

Yes you can enable console but so far the only finding are a in game FPS meter tiled screenshots. Link to tell you how: http://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/showthread.php?t=148783&highlight=console

Oh, so they completely nerf the console of anything cool, THEN tell everybody how to enable it? Lame.

Removing the HUD alone is worth having the console, IMO. Makes for good screenshots to be turned into wallpapers.

Yeah, things like NoClip would be nice for the times I've gotten stuck while trying to parkour to all the crazy places in this game (And the first. Which is quite a lot). But I don't really need them; Removing the HUD is the main thing I really appreciate.

Console commands are an extremely useful feature in many a game. Often allowing for more in-depth tweaking, adjusting options on the fly, fine tuning settings, and so on. They don't all have to apply to exploits/cheating.

Agreed. Too bad the only devs who seem to remember/get this are Bethesda.

Crysis is probably my favorite example of an in-game console really. Largely because the game itself has an absurd amount of lines of tweaking data and variables to adjust. You can change damn near any setting right there from the console, it was extremely handy when trying out different profiles or making your own graphics tweak.
