ive never seen one over 9.9k, this is the first 10k x5 ive seen, is this the most powerful sniper there is? most ive seen was a true 31k one shot, but the x5s are technically more powerful for obvious reasons, shooting 5 bullets at once, in this case all five 10ks. nice

For a sniper, I'd much rather have an accurate high damage one shot than a higher damage inaccurate weapon. At 80ish you'll see only 1-3 of those as a headshot, not all five.

Anyone have a screenshot of a level 50 Buffalo? I can only guess the thing is an absolute beast, especially with bonus crit.

I tend to favor Jakobs rifles that have the +Critical damage multiplier (it's usually around 180%). The one I have currently is I think 25K damage at around 98 accuracy, give or take a few tenths. It's not the greatest loader killer late game but it smites the crap out of everything else on the field.

No scope destroys the purpose. When I had mine it one shot engineers but performed horribly versus other things. Plus I've found an etech that in general has higher damage than the buffalo.

I've become quite comfortable with traditional iron sights after STALKER and FO:NV, so the lack of a scope doesn't bother me except at super-long ranges where the magnification is needed.

The Buffalo's problem for me is the slow fire rate, and somewhat less critically the reload speed. I have a habit of reloading whenever I'm not actually shooting, and it's slow enough to not be ready by the next time I want to shoot.

I have a rocket launcher (Level 47 I think?) that taps for over 100,000. Really powerful.

When I crit (as zer0) I've been able to do over 350,000 damage with a gun that hits for 8,000 however. (and I have a revolver that does 7000x2, which I -think- I crit for 610k once... not positive on that one though)

Doesn't the -66% weapon damage kinda negate any reason to use the gun?

I got a similar one, except its got a very good scope + 180% critical damage. Also those snipers are better when combined with the Bee shield, because more bullets = more amp shots. So technically the skullsmasher snipers are the best, especially if you find a 180% crit one.

that -66% damage is already calculated into the amount above, it's just letting you know, plus the thing about the skullmasher is it's supposed to have less damage per pellet, as if you hit with all of them, it'll do around 50% more damage than the top end purple jakobs.

I actually have one that's 9712x5 myself, so not as powerful, but with the +180% crit damage and testing with a level 48 bee on the practice dummy, a full five pellet headshot crits for a good 1588k. slagged i've seen it go even higher, and this is on axton mind you, not zero.
