So will this pirate DLC raise the level cap?

I never played the DLC for the first one. Has anything been announced?

Only a bit of leaked info found in the game's files; http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/638786-borderlands-2/64290298

Nothing official yet.

Not sure if this is all true, but I believe it.

Hmm none of the new achievements are for reaching level 55 or 60 so I'm guessing probably not?

It's official, so STOL spreading false information.

Higher level cap would dumb down the builds, because you wouldn't have to make as many hard decisions about what to skip.

I'm hoping that when they raise the level cap they also add new top-tier skills to the existing skill trees, keep it so you have to specialize.

Either that or make the 50+ levels give you something other than normal skill points.

Because those builds are SO DANG complicated and hard now. Takes a rocket scientist and theoretical physicist to figure out 'put 5 points in the 'more damage' one'.

I just want more.

I love all the skill trees so much it's really hard to decide what to spec into and what not to. More skill points opens up even more possibilities and expands on potential playstyles. Which is awesome.

As an Axton player, I dipped into all three trees so by Level 44 I or so I could get Rockets/Longbow/Shields/Mag Lock. Losing out on the end-tier skills, but this combination is an absolute blast to play with.
