Let's say I want a lvl 50 Infinity. I wait until I beat the storyline in True Vault Hunter Mode, then start the quest from Zed. Dr. Mercy should be in the level 50 range. Will he always be around level 50 when he respawns(and have level 50 drops), or reset after the quest is complete to some lower level? Meaning I've only got one chance at the drop I want without alt+f4ing?

He's a boss. Bosses always respawn when you exit and reenter the game. How else do you think people farm for Infinities?
The quest has absolutely nothing to do with farming him except getting him to appear as I believe he won't appear until you start the quest, but after you've finished it, he will always be there. --- Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 4.5GHz | 8GB Samsung RAM DDR3 1600 (11-11-11-28) | SLi eVGA GTX 670 4GB VRAM 1006/1084/6008 | ASUS 27" Monitor @ 2560X1440

I know he'll always be there. I'm curious if he'll always be level 50 when he spawns.

If I remember correctly, he will be level 52.
However, when in 2.5, loot can range from 48 - 50, so you won't be guaranteed to get a level 50 Infinity. When I was farming for the Nukem and Veruc, I got two level 48 Verucs before getting a level 50, and I got a level 50 Nukem prior to getting a level 49. --- Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 4.5GHz | 8GB Samsung RAM DDR3 1600 (11-11-11-28) | SLi eVGA GTX 670 4GB VRAM 1006/1084/6008 | ASUS 27" Monitor @ 2560X1440

Alright, that's the main thing I wanted to know. I read somewhere that mobs will de-level after the sidequest is completed if you waited until the end of the game, but I didn't know if that applied to unique mobs as well. Thanks!
