What do you suggest using mana on

There's so many ways to use it, am I gonna need it for something later on?

Eventually you will have mana spilling out your ears. For now, improve the range of spells and damage multiple for skills

You'll need lots of mana later, but fortunately it's pretty easy to come by in post-game. You'll need it for:

Learning and improving skills.
Learning evilities.
Proposing bills in Homeroom.
Creating new characters.
Reincarnating.

For the time being, you'll probably be using it mainly for skills, creating new characters, and passing a few bills to open clubs and stuff like that. That's what I'd recommend, anyway, until you're able to start really racking it up.

Oh, and when you improve a skill, be aware that it costs more SP with each rank-up. Keep an eye on that and make sure your character can still afford to cast it at least several times.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention... there are a few cheap evilities you'll get a good bit of mileage from if you buy them early, like Almaz's Hero-Style Defense.

Buy skills
Unlock cheap clubs
Create characters

I personally wouldn't buy a skill past level 3 until you're into postgame as level 3 will demolish most enemies in 1 or 2 hits up until the last level. I also wouldn't bother going for the really expensive clubs unless you REEEEALLLY want them. Your best bet is to focus on creating characters, buying skills, and getting those skills up to level 3, so that way you can kill enemies more easily and earn more mana.

Creating many new characters becomes more productive when you have access to a reliable training map for EXP and mana. If you put your most used characters in the Mana robbers club, you'll sap each other's mana continuously and earn a lot more during the story. Most important is probably to learn new skills and good evilities if they have them. Mao's and Sapphire's have good Evilities for example. Most important thing to use mana on during the story is increasing the shop rank when it levels up, but that doesn't take much.

A personal preference of mine is to boost skills very sparingly. Typically so that the SP cost is low enough to still use a skill 15-20 times, this ensures that you wont run out while in item world (unless you really stink). This limits people like Almaz who have low SP growth but with Mages and Healers you'll still be upgrading every chance you get.

Clubs and Evilities are very important but most can be put off until you need them or something really nice comes along.

Reincarnation is very expensive but it worth it if you know what you're doing.

Tip: Grind 4-1 for more mana than you'll need for the main game. Prinnies are worth double mana and there's +50% mana spaces everywhere. You can get about 4000 mana per run with managers.

Where I am in the game at the moment I can generate 9,999,999 ( the maximum) in around a minute for up to 4 characters at the same time, so it does become a little irrellevant.

Same with money and levels, I've had max money for a while now, I dunno how much it is, there are a lot of 9's.
