why Sonic is so slow in this game?

I think TC is missing longs strings of extreme speed. can anyone find me a feeling similar to the one you get when the following happens:

1) You hit a speed box

2) Level design opens up it's speed section to you, (like a hot date you impressed with your witty humor)

3)You hit MAx speed in less that 3 seconds and you're hoping nothing ruins it.

4) Music euphoria and your hand-eye-coordination increases, making you play and feel like a BOSS(unless you suck)

5) Sonic starts creeping off to the right, untill he's left the screen(e.g super shadow in Megamix at starrynight zone)

6) the level design starts rapidly spinning out of control, and you eventually hit a wall or die because of a glitch(going to fast)

Best Zone to do this in is Stardust Speedway.

I do agree with BlackMephitis7. Sonic Adventure DX Directors Cut for the Gamecube was pretty terrible. What it did was up the framerate to 60 FPS but in return made it extremely choppy.

They also "improved" the character models by making them more up to date, and as BlackMephitis7 said, they added the glossy shine to them.

I really don't know if SA DX had more glitches than the original Dreamcast version, because both had their fair share. But the DX version really just reminded me how bad the game truly is. The Dreamcast version definitely felt more stable because of the 30 FPS and it was more smooth (less choppy). But it had it's own problems.

feels like he accelerates a little slower or has a little less momentum than sonic 2 or 3, but he's certainly as fast as he was in sonic 1, maybe even faster.
