And that is, give us some more P3 cameos! We got Yukiko in P3P, so why can't we get someone like Yukari in P4? I was really disappointed when we only got to see two minor characters I doubt much people really care about instead. =/

Holy ****, I can't believe how annoyed I find myself getting at rabid P3 fans as of late. I'm not usually one to complain about other people's hopes and dreams, but Jesus Christ. I can't believe all the "This game needs more P3 characters" topics on the Persona 4: Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena board. You know what? No, it doesn't. It's a Persona 4 game and P3 characters had little to no presence in P4. You know why? It's a separate game, not Persona 3-2. Now this topic. Got Yukiko in P3P? True, that minor cameo did happen. Index probably demanded it as part of their "milk the **** out of P4" campaign. I'm currently in Japan and there's a weekly P3P commercial that airs during the commercial break for P4A. Sure enough, the Yukiko cameo is featured in the commercial. Regardless, there is no need to include P3 characters in this game. If P3's fanbase was as solid as the fans on this site, Index would probably force Atlus to put out a million more P3 remakes and spinoffs.

I probably only find myself irritated by all of this because I am a P4 fan and I don't want my Scooby Doo mystery to be polluted by your grimdark fluff.

Also, nothing personal against you, TC. It's just, let P4 remain P4 without becoming some bastardized P3/P4 hybrid.

^ can't we all just be Persona fanboys? yeah this is P4 but this also part of the PERSONA series. I series doubt adding in one more cameo isnt going to ruin solving the murder case

The only thing worse than the die hard Persona fanboys are the die hard Persona fanboys exclusive to one game...

Honestly all Persona games have been milked 4's really no worse than the others in that regard.

Maybe they'll add cameos for their upcoming game like how they did with vincent in p3p, who knows? I just wished instead of making a persona 4 fighting game with a few p3 character, make a fighting game with collabo with other series, or the whole persona series.

The plot doesn't have to change. Just a small cameo in the Tatsumi Port Island trip would be nice. I fail to understand what the problem is; it would affect nothing story-wise, and would just be a small nod to P3 fans. Those who never played P3 wouldn't know who the characters are, and those that have, would. It's that simple really.

I personally always felt like the game did a pretty good job of showing us people that made sense for us to see.

At school we saw the Principal, Chihiro and Mr. Edogawa. The only other characters that would make sense for us to see would be other teachers, since pretty much every other student character from Gekkoukan would have graduated by the time P4 takes place (though I think it would've been kinda cool to see Kenji's sister who was about to start her first year there at the end of P3) I don't know how old Ken is, so I'm not sure if he would have been in high school during P4 time.

The love hotel...eh, lets face it, there aren't really any characters that would have shown up there (unless Junpei picked up a stripper or something...)

That leaves Escapade and Hagakure Ramen. Mutatsu moved away to be with his family (though technically they could have fallen out again and he'd go right back to drinking, but that would make me more sad than happy to see him...) and at the ramen place Nozomi moved away to become a fancy food writer.

Maybe it's just because it fits the character, but no matter what the location, Junpei is the only major character I could imagine running into, and a cameo from him would just feel kinda tacked on and pointless (granted, I feel the exact same way about the Yukiko cameo from P3P)
