I'd go with Yu Narukami, but I can't get past the fact that Margaret has an attack with the same name.

That's pretty petty.

I used Yu as well, but if they want to use Souji I don't care. Yu is the video game canon name, Soiji is the manga canon name. As long as you don't dispute that, do whatever you like.

And since I don't talk to them, how can they dispute it? So more power to em.

it's way better than the dozens of Yu Narukami.

i know not everybody is creative when coming up with names or too lazy to use anything other than the Animation's name, but it still a little tiresome to see

besides people are free to name the Protagonist with whatever crazy name they can fit in 8 spaces

Actually, I find it kind of sad that you can't deal with the fact Atlus let people name the MC whatever they want and some people chose to name the MC, Souji. If people wanted to name him Poopyface Tomatonose (which they actually could not because it's too long, but still...), you would have to deal with it just as well.

I named my female protaganist in persona 3 portable Girly Teengirl. Note: if no one gets that then I'm angry. grr.

As far as I'm concerned, that's her canon name.
