That's pretty petty.

I used Yu as well, but if they want to use Souji I don't care. Yu is the video game canon name, Soiji is the manga canon name. As long as you don't dispute that, do whatever you like.

And since I don't talk to them, how can they dispute it? So more power to em.

There is nothing canon about the name Souji. Yu is not 2 people. He is just one person. And his name is Yu.

I named my female protaganist in persona 3 portable Girly Teengirl. Note: if no one gets that then I'm angry. grr.

As far as I'm concerned, that's her canon name.

It doesn't matter what you name them in P3P because I don't have to see it.

As long as it isn't a blatant joke name with some sexual reference, I don't care what the hell people name their MCs.

it's way better than the dozens of Yu Narukami.

i know not everybody is creative when coming up with names or too lazy to use anything other than the Animation's name, but it still a little tiresome to see

besides people are free to name the Protagonist with whatever crazy name they can fit in 8 spaces

Never played arena? It not just his animation name, it his canon name.

Why is it such a big deal if they name him Souji Seta? That's what they want to name him, so, I agree with what the others have said: deal with it, especially if that's the name they feel fit protagonist even more.
I wouldn't even care if they named him Souji Narukami, Yu Seta, Souji Yu, Narukami Seta, or whatever. It's their game.

While I personally prefer Yu Narukami to Souji Seta, I could give two ****s about what people decide to name him. I mean, a little creativity wouldn't hurt, but that's their right.

Anyone whose name is Souji will not be receiving any heals from me. Now your choice in name is literally affecting your gameplay negatively.

It's not so harmless now, is it?

The heal bonus is negligible anyways, and besides, I bet they wouldn't WANT you to aid them were they to know such a spiteful, petty human being is behind it.

...Kinda, since SOS isn't exactly a great healing system anyway.

That said, you're kind of a tool.
