The difference being, when the wholesome company fires him/her, a riskay company picks him/her up and sells them as darker and edgier. It's just the way it is, really. Yeah, it seems to be a much, MUCH bigger deal in Japan, particularly in AKB048, but it's not like I can't name a few US celebrities that fell off the map for losing their innocence... *cough*PAULREUBENS*cough*
