He's a cop in Japan which has an incredibly low murder rate and he's in a small town. Who cares that its his job? I've seen EMTs puke and panic and I've seen soldiers shut down from their own handiwork. Experience and predisposition has more to do with how you react than going to the police academy. They don't condition you to just be okay with dead bodies for those kinds of jobs you
just deal with it when its your first time.
Furthermore, when did I defend him? I said he wasn't an evil
mastermind. If anything I was implying he was just a lucky idiot. I haven't been trying to redeem him, but he isn't some sort of sociopath.

They literally explain it right before Magatsu Inaba he pushed Yamano and she accidentally fell in the TV. He doesn't know that he kills her until the body shows up. This is where he pukes. He questions Konishi. Then after seeing her talk to Namatame he brings her into the interrogation room where he gets jealous and throws her into the smaller TV. Then he
gets lucky and answers the call at the station from Namatame and uses his fragile state to push him to throw more people into the TV. Here's a youtube link pay attention this time:
