In golden, got raped during the first playthrough no matter how high level I was. Didn't see him during the last third of the game though. Second playthrough, I kicked his ass in Yukiko's castle, not farming.

Level means nothing, it's about what personas and skills MC has, some party members have useful skills like naoto's 3rd tier persona skill, but you need to get a great persona, I highly suggest Yoshitsune, who makes any battle a cake walk

Character level does tweak the damage taken and given a bit, so it's not completely useless. What IS useless is Persona level.

All you need is a Yukiko with Salvation and an MC with repel death

Level is important..... you actually have to have HP to survive at least 1 almighty attack.

Im on normal and I probably dont have the best persona's. I had a Tzitzimitl as my best at the time. I havent settled on anyone in particular yet and i just need Masakado before i can fuse to get Yoshitsune. Its my first playthrough and my first time playing a Persona game so i know im missing some things. Other than the Reaper im having no trouble with bosses since im pretty overleveled.

Not trying to be elitist but shouldn't the reaper be pretty easy by level 70-75ish? This on normal difficulty btw.

Also didn't use any really good Personas (unless Neko Shogun counts) Also Vita version if that makes a difference (only played the original up-to Yukiko's Castle.

Thats what i thought. But he used that one move and it got everyone. And yeah im on normal. Ill get him next time. It seems like you level up fast in this game. Especially with all the Hands.

The first time I faced it (Rise's dungeon) I got it down to half HP before he got tired of me poking it and decided to end me. Every other time he just steam rolled me. I'm not sure if I got lucky or if he was just trolling me. I'm on my first playthrough on normal mode BTW.

^ May I ask what's your level? I was level 83 with my party 80 on Normal. I only fought the Reaper twice but it seems luck based on his moves. I remember, all it did was cast break spells on my characters and Magarudyne. Second time, it did back-to-back Megidolaons, then Maragidyne, Yuki gets downed and it nukes us with Megidolaon.

Just pray the RNG gods decide to not have the Reaper use "All-In" tactics.
