Does anyone get the feeling that P4A's ending (where the investigation team decides to help the Shadow Operatives solve the case) is undermined when one of the characters (Chie or Yukiko I think) mention that it was "too bad things were so crazy last May (Golden Week aka P4A). No one mentions the S. O. or anything that happens past a casual reference.

What I'm thinking is they are saving what happened for a P4A2. Even still, unless Yu moved back to Yasoinaba it would seem it would be kind of difficult for him to work on the case with his friends let alone the S. O.

Just thought I would bring that up just because it was something that bothered me about the epilogue. Other than that it was entertaining and I liked the new looks the characters were sporting. Dat Kanji lol.

Yes, when the craziness in May was mentioned, Yosuke was talking about the events of Arena.

I know that the P4 cast was talking about it but there isn't any description as to how the P4A saga ended, the way the reference was made it implied that the P1 Grand Prix mystery has been resolved. None of the characters said that they hope the case is going well nor discussed what has progressed with the case (implicating that it is not yet resolved). Thus the case must have somehow been resolved between P4A and Golden Epilogue. Otherwise the events of P4A couldn't have happened (obviously not true as the cast makes direct reference to it).

I guess what I'm asking is if anyone else thought this upon seeing the GE.

Well there is a whole year between P4A and the Golden Epilogue, so I can see the whole thing being resolved during that time.

There's also the possibility that the events were solved during the rest of the week that the team was together for.

@holyknick2
A whole year? Really? Was it confirmed? I always assumed that it took place in August, but mainly because the clock stopped after July, but it seemed a bit premature...

I'm pretty sure Arena and the Golden Ending take place in the same year...

No there isn't. The epilogue takes place about 3 months after Arena.

I highly doubt that the case was solved during that week... the S.O. left and the MC had just a couple of days before going home. Besides, when Atlus did P4A they minimized the spoilers for P4, so perhaps they tried to do the same in P4G, knowing that the game would attract more newcomers and they'd be interested in playing P4A

Now that you say that it seems like that is the most logical answer. Hopefully the missing info gets filled in via a possible P4A2 or in a new game as an rpg. I hope that Atlus (and I know they probably will be) is careful because the P-1 mystery could get lost into obscurity. I'm hoping that it will be in a P4A2 type game because I don't see them expanding that story into a 40-50 hour rpg.
