Basically, you live your life as a high school student, pick up part time jobs, make friends with people at school and work, potentially date those you get to know, study and get smarter, say stuff like "PERSONA!" with your Personas and beat the crap outta Shadows, eat at a Chinese diner, attend various school and social outings, go fishing, ride your scooter to various locations, watch movies, grow veggies, and solve a mystery case.

always assume everybody on the Internet is either a 12 year old, or a creeper in his mid 40's. The Internet makes more sense that way.

lol okay wow.

Is it fun?

If you actually think about it, it sounds like it really shouldn't be. The concept for the game is so bizarre that in all reality, it should NOT work. But it is addictive in a way I cannot describe. You can look up reviews about it, watch people play it, but until you actually play it yourself you can't understand. I would get it. It is an amazing game.

Would you say it's Harvest Moon addictive? Because a farming sim should not be fun either where you basically have to do chores daily.

Yet the HM games are some of the best ever.

Honestly I don't like Harvest Moon. I see the appeal in it, but it's just not for me.

As far as Persona goes, I was severely apprehensive until I played Persona 3 Portable in the middle of last year. It sounded like something I would just hate. Then I proceeded to put 80(!) hours into P3P, beating it, and I put better than 80 into Persona 4 Golden, not quite earning the best ending. Frankly I'm all Persona'd out, though I WILL get the best ending and might finish a New Game+.

I recommend Persona 3 Portable for you. It's less of an expenditure than Golden, and if you don't like it then you won't like Golden either. However I highly doubt that will happen. These games are worthy of the hype.

It's a dungeon-crawling, turn-based role-playing game along the lines of Pokemon and Final Fantasy, mixed with social elements that involve bonding with your friends and family a la visual novels. The majority of the game involves bonding with the various characters and helping them through their personal issues while juggling a murder-mystery involving magic powers and summon creatures called "Persona".

The game's strength is in it's characters and plot, especially the characters whom I feel should be setting a new standard in gaming, and though basic it's combat and RPG systems are rock-solid. It's got a lot to do (I guarantee you won't be able to do everything the first time around) and it's addicting if you're willing to give it a shot, though the first few hours can trudge a bit if the story is uninteresting.

Recettear, with a school instead of an item shop and rescuing people as an objective instead of making money.

I'm about an hour in and it's fun. I'm curious to see where the mystery and story goes.

I'm interested to see if you have any suspicions as to who the culprit behind this mystery is?

Honestly, I'd say the Uncle guy I'm living with.

If I'm right or wrong don't tell me but for your own curiosity that's who I think it is.

He's always out and it just seems like he's too out of the picture so far.

My other guess would be that girl who works at one of the restaurants you meet during the cut-scene at the food court.

I'd love to punch my teacher in the face though that's for sure.

Stay the hell away of this board, there are spoilers everywhere.

Though if you liked the 1st hour, you will LOVE the game. Many people who loved this as well admitted that the first two or three hours are the worst because of the pacing and the inability to do anything
