And then there's Vritra in the sequel. That was just awful. Didn't help that my main party before that dungeon was Serph, Argilla, and Roland.

But DDS is easier compared to Nocturne. Sure you have 3 characters, not 4.
But all of them can use items, your MC is allowed to die (you can even switch him out), all the skills stay in your roster so you can just reequip.
I wouldn't really say Nocturne was HARD game, since the concept is pretty simple. I think it's harder than DDS tho.

I want to play Nocturne, I heard that the game is hard and the story is confusing. Plus I heard that the game doesnt make it clear what's good and what's evil.

Huh. I found DDS to be overall the simplest Megaten game(s) this side of Raidou/Persona 2.

That being said, it's probably the most effective one at pulling off ambush kills.
