why do they not use helmets during the ski trip?
they make sure to wear a helmet for riding a scooter but not for skiing?
sure, crashes on those are nastier but probably less frequent than crashes while skiing
especially when you are a beginner!

I hate pet peeves ><

then why make sure they wear helmets on the bikes?
it's the inconsistency that bothers me

Again, you're being 'bothered' by a trivial thing that doesn't matter and unless someone from ATLUS posts, has no answer.

You would have to check local Japanese laws and customs... I do know it is against the law for you to ride a scooter without a helmet but completely unsure of skiing.

That and the costume designs would be ruined by helmets, you can't see faces, ruin their portraits, as well as Ted in his outfit....

Because then you wouldn't have been able to see Chie smile right before Snowball!Teddie crashes into Yosuke.

That is definitely more of a smile than it is a look of surprise and worry for Yosuke.
