The dating system is pretty much the best part of the game, some of the questions and responses are hilarious. The rest of the game is...okay. Story's nothing to write home about, typical evil emperor plotting to rule the world with the power of Daaaaaaaaaarkneeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss, and yes he talks like that. The characters are all bordering on parody when they don't cross over (one of the villians is flat-out Harley Quinn from Batman: TAS), which may or may not be to your liking, depending on the sort of humor you want in your RPG.
Weapon forging is kind of neat, you can imbue your party's weapons with different spells and skills when you woo the girls up to certain ranks. Unfortunately, battles are always one-on-one with your teammates just cheering you on in the background or tossing you heal spells, so there's not a whole lot of reason to bother with much forging for anyone besides Meis (the main character) unless you really want to put someone else in the lead.
Random encounter rate isn't too bad for the most part.
Towns can be a little annoying, the camera likes to spin around for no reason and one "town" in particular is almost maze-like. Most are small enough to find you way around easily, though.
Overall not the best RPG ever but I had enough fun with it to say give it a try if you can get it somewhat cheap.
