Every time I try and get Adachi to hang out with me, it says he is busy! What's the deal

Adachi's availability is very limited (though you can hang out with him on rainy days). Keep in mind that you can't spend time with him if you haven't finished the current dungeon.

He's not available when you have an active dungeon. Aside from that, I believe he's available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. If it's from rank 5 to rank 6 though he's available only during the day.
