Help with Chie combo.

#1soulfulgamerPosted 2/3/2013 12:40:54 AM
The combo in question is:

5B > 2B > 236A > 236A > 236236A > Dash 5C > 236B > 236B > 5C > 236B > 236B > 236236C

I can land this only 50% of the time, due to the timing between 236236A > Dash 5C. Is there any visual cues to help with the timing, or is it purely just rhythm? Thanks.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to execution but when I do that I wait until the opponent's body is just barely above Chie's head level then press C. Works fairly well for me, but only 70% of the time or so (but I think that's due to my suck).

Dunno if that will help you.

I do that same combo and trust me, it's strictly timing

Also after the second 236B, do blackspot (C) into GOd's Hand (D)

Hi there, I pretty new to the game myself but I can pull off this combo most of the time so ill try to help.

Most of that combo requires no timing at all. Buffer your 236236A to come out immediately after your skullcracker. Right after you power up you need to dash (unless you are in the corner), you want to hit your opponent at the lowest point possible (close to the ground, not high in the air) with that neural C. Watch for them to get low, but not so low they can tech out. If you do not connect the 5C at a very low point in the fall the 236B will push your opponent too high and the followup sullcracker will be techable. In general a visual que for the 5C would be when your opponent is lower than your head but above your belt (where they can tech).

Its possible to do all kinds of neat stuff off of that combo. If you can carry them into a corner with it (not hard to do) you can do another round of 5C>236B>236B then go for damage Blackspot>god hand or you can finish with 5C>5A+B>oki.

Waitwaitwaitwaitwait...

You can have THREE C reps in there? Are you sure? My CPU is always teching on the 3rd C.

Also, I think 236B allows you to blackspot (D) to God's Hand.

Also, they do have to be in the corner before you can just resort to C instead of dashC, right?

To calirfy on my last question, the combo TC lists cannot be done unless 236B carried them to the corner, right?

^Correct.

I rarely start this from the other side of the screen, so it's usually valid.

Another question: If I dash 5C too early, but still land the 236B, is there anything I can do off of it? One More? etc.?

You should be able to delay the 236B slightly if you confirm that you did dash 5C a bit early.

So I'm having some trouble with something else now...

If I try to do:
AA B 2B 236A 236A 236236A C 236B 236B C 236B 236B 236D
I fail.

What ends up happening is the CPU techs during the very last Rampage or Skull Cracker.
I tried again starting at 236A and forgoing the AA B 2B and it seems to work.

Do I just really have to delay after the C or something, or does the combo I listed not work? And if it doesn't, what's a good alternative that has some hit-confirm capability which can be used instead with that final Rampage/Skull Cracker?
