He says after the offline human prologue chapter, when you created your monster character, you have the choice to go online OR to play an offline mode as the sibling of the character you made.
He also says that the mode is about getting something from 7 shrines, so i think this means there are about 7 offline dungeons.

It would be pretty awesome if this is true. Does anyone else here know something about offline beyond the prologue?

The topic title on the Wii DQX board is "Humans?", in case anyone wants to read it.

After 24 minutes, he also mentions the offline mode.

I'm the guy who said this on the other thread.

Here's a screenshot of when it asks you if you want to do Online or Offline. I took it this afternoon.

(The top option transliterates as "Onrain Moodo" which is "Online Mode" and the bottom transliterates into "Ofurain Moodo" which is "Offline Mode")

Here's a picture of my file select for Offline Mode. It doesn't say Offline Mode on this screen, but it shows the file for my Human character (my main character's Sibling). Note how he's Level 15. That is important because, 10 was the Max Level for the Prologue.

I fixed the other link. Guess I didn't execute the copy function like I thought I did.

Thanks!
I really think there is a lack of awareness about the existence of an online mode (beyond the prologue), so it's really nice that you delivered some proof.

If you play more of the offline mode in the future, it would be nice if you could give some further impressions, as currently nobody knows how much to expect from the offline mode.
If it's more then just ten hours, it might actually get some people interested in this who would be scared of buying a pure MMO (and those people would likely still try the online after they bought the game and might stick with it, so this could definitely help the online community).

I hope you don't mind if i quote you on this on other boards (particularly the Wii U hardware board), as i think it's important to spread this information.

More info about the scale of that mode would generally be appreciated, so if anyone can find youtube videos or anything else, feel free to post it.

From what i've see, you can only play as a human in offline. However, you made this human character too.

In the beginning of DQX, you make two human characters, one for Online (who shortly later turns into one of the 5 monster races, so you have to create a look for him again) and another one for Offline.
The offline character is the sibling of the online character, they get separated from each other and the Offline characters stays human and does not transform into another race.
