why make a strategy book?

#1Sinful_DesirePosted 2/6/2013 5:23:00 AM
its monster hunter
game is likely not to sell too well

so the chances of people buying game and strat book is quite low

makes me feel bad 4 the people making the guide :/

of course,if its 20$ ill pick it up.

Why make strategy guides at all? The internet can do that and more for free.

When fans were seeing the Japanese guide they began asking for it. Here's an article with a pic of the Japanese book:

The thing is massive. I expect it will be more than $20.

Monster Hunter fans are a very niche bunch here in the west still. Guides sell like mad to that type of audience. I'll buy it no matter the price tag, just to complete my collection.

Besides, they are pretty handy when you're on the couch and not near your PC. I don't have a tablet so using my tiny iPhone screen can be a bit of a pain. Nor is the Wikia pages very iphone friendly. The guide book will be useful enough but it will sell more for the collecting aspect than anything I'm sure.

I've been dissapointed with the last two Strat Guides I've bought for nostalgia sake. To try to recapture that feeling of trying to get through Zelda OOT or FF7 or something. But wow, thanks for linking that guide. If THAT thing comes to the states, I'll probably just buy it so I can look at it and just laugh. I'll never open it. But I'll just walk by and crack up at it every time.

HOLY ****. I'd buy that. If just to club someone with it while making random grunts.
