Planning on getting Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for my 3DS XL but just wanted to confirm if playing solo (offline mode) will have the same content as playing with others over local play (still have all the quest/monsters/stuff)? I remember MH Tri being online feature heavy, when the servers go down in april this year people are gonna have a lot less to play with. Really hoping they don't go down that route.
They're shutting down the Tri servers? Does that mean there won't be any G-rank missions or are they going to do something about that?
Here's where I read it: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/01/monster_hunter_tri_servers_to_be_shutdown_at_the_end_of_april
To be honest this is my first time to play a monster hunter game so I'm not sure about G-rank missions and stuff, but when I read this and found out that a large portion of MH Tri was for online play is made me worry.
There is no online mode for the 3DS. There is a local multiplayer mode, which will have the exact same content as the online for the WiiU. Easily said, they both will have the same quests
Thanks devilschain30, I was afraid that I had to play with others over local (or that silly play online through your Wii U thing) to fight certain monsters and do stuff.
Yeah, although the guild quests were designed for multiplayer (Monsters have more health and quests are generally more challenging), the game will allow you to do them on your own, which is nice if you have no one else to play with locally.
