Kind of. Only items up to a 3* rarity can be given to other players. Most of the monster materials and more powerful items are 4* rarity and above, and thus cannot be given to other players. Armor, weapons, and charms also cannot be traded.

You can trade items that are classed as "Rarity 1-3". You can't trade weapons or armor.

Rarity 1-3 items are generally very easy to come by, mostly just consumable items and things to create potions or various traps or ammo. There are a few tradable crafting components, but the majority of what you want to craft with must be acquired on your own.

It is useful to point out though that the items that you can trade can be duplicated. Lots of new players at the beginning may have troubles gathering, say, honey to make mega potions.

Honey can be traded from one player, who then quits to home. You both keep the honey that was traded, so it makes it a lot easier to get some of the base level items that are used frequently. Especially the ones that you can't plant in the farm.

Yep you can honey dupe using this method though honestly if you're at a point in the game where you need 1000 honeys you probably already have them via the farm

On Tri I had like 1000 of every potion, ammo and trap material completely legit and it wasn't even that much effort.

Yeah like I was saying it's better just for new players. Once you get far enough you don't really run out of anything. But I know for a fact that once I first play with my buddy I am going to dupe the hell out of all the items I can to get a good start lol
