I have too many Lagiacrus Plates and no Sapphires after 2+ days of tail cutting, capturing Ivy in the offline HR Conqueror of Land and Sea, collecting tears, and eating for luck to get more quest rewards. Wondering what people would think if Capcom allowed trading for any items would ruin the "feel" of the game.

I don't think it would ruin the game if they added a NPC similar to the Argosy Captain. Instead of trading the Free Hunt items, you will be trading carves instead.

as it is, absolutely not. otherwise the game would be almost pointless.

but with enough work i can definitely imagine a trade system based on item ranks.
it would actually be a pretty nice addition to the series.

i just don't think the developers will bother with it any time soon seeing as there's so much they could implement to make their games even better and yet there was barely anything new to see in MH4 except for the "platform" like maps (which i think is awesome btw).
and i know we'll be able to mount the monsters too but while that's kinda cool, it's also kinda passable, to be honest.

so yeah, as it stands, i have to say no.

Yes but only items of the same rank. Mantle for mantle, pallium for pallium, gem for gem etc. I seriously have more palliums from Urguan than needed.

Also can't you trade those tickets for items?

The tickets, or the good ones, you only get when you play multiplayer with other people.

And also, no. Trading would be ruin the game as it is now.

If it were, say, you can trade, for example, a rank 2 item for rank 1 items (depends on what it is), so trade a rank below, maybe....

Trading for common items shouldn't be an issue, but rare items, would defeat the purpose.

If they had made the quality of the tickets based off of rank rather than your multiplayer experience, I'd be okay with not changing anything else.

No, only because it is extremely easy to dupe as things are now. Could easily be fixed by auto saving after a trade and making it like the Argosy Captain for rarity though.

Trading would not ruin the game. It's silly to assume such things, given that one can always refrain from trading and "ruining" their game.
