bottlegnomesPosted 6/11/2012 10:48:32 AM (edited) | He does have a bit of a stat lead at equal levels. However, he won't reach equal levels until late in the game, if at all.
Also, like Othin said, penalizing Sigurd for not existing in gen 2 is stupid. It's like penalizing Jagen for not existing in book 2. And discounting that silliness, Sigurd is arguably the best unit of all time. --- "You know, Hobbes, sometimes I think the surest sign that there is intelligent life out there is that it hasn't contacted us." - Calvin |
wheeling_gamerPosted 6/11/2012 10:54:46 AM | I'd have to say Lowen.
He comes in with very good defense, which is something you want on someone that's going to be far away from most of your healers. His speed and attack power also aren't bad. He joins very early, and in maps that are full of axe users. Finally, he can support with quite a few good units, most of whom are on horseback and can keep up with him.
Kent and Sain are very good, but if you train Lowen, you typically don't need either of them. --- You know you read too much when you dream about flying books. |

Mark. You know, the guy that can be molded into any paladin (stat wise) you would like. He seems like a good choice. I'm guessing his ambiguity rules him out though. --- "Sit back and enjoy the sound of the noose tightening around your own neck." - Miles Edgeworth |

Mark and MyUnit(two versions) can't enter those lists because they are just the best on the area you want them to be plus the topic seems to be only for pre-promoted paladins It's more or less a tie between Seth, Titania and Aless for me so I'm going to vote for my favorite of the threee Titania As a side note too bad you cant use Eltshan or I would vote on him just because that battle between him and the Eliot squad was just (for me when i first played FE4 as a kid) awesome and sold me on the FE series at the time |

Amelia couldn't have been counted as the worst Paladin, for example, but Matthis was. Of course, the reason people are only mentioning the promoted ones here is because it's so common for games to have amazing prepromoted Paladins, even better than the unpromoted Cavaliers. |
BlueSophiaPosted 6/11/2012 12:18:17 PM | Titania.
Seth is overrated. The main thing about him is his lack of poor stat distributions which makes him viable. But that's in consideration of the 3 to 4 other of the potential horsemen in the game. Considering his abilities, Franz and Kyle can easily surpass him (unless they get RNGrolled). In other words, he's a good early crutch, but he is easy to overshadow considering how the game lets you level up with gusto. --- Kuwagata! Kamakiri! Batta! Gata-Gata-Kiri-Ba! Gata-Kiri-Ba! |
