So no wifi battles...Fail, explain spot pass please?

#1SackBoiPosted 12/24/2012 12:34:07 PM
That was my favorite add on to Fire Emblem was multiplayer, now this spot pass will I ever get random generated players or does it actually have to be legit someone with Fire Emblem walk by (I know some games generate certain things but to make up for the lack of people every once in awhile you get something random, I believe pokemon scramble was like this), and I guess you cannot connect to wifi to get friends data?

Yeah Street Pass will be random if you pass someone without Fire Emblem Awakening data on their 3DS SD card.

Your favorite part of Fire Emblem was the poorly done multiplayer?

The problem with the multiplayer is that it's too dependent upon who gets the first strike, and also the RNG can screw over your characters with very little available to the player to remedy it.

I guess I'm one of the few (or silent majority) who have no problem with this multiplayer. SRPGs are really hard to do a FAIR muliplayer for, and what they did was nice. No one gets hurt if you destroy your friend's team when he's not playing as them.

I'm not Superman, that's for sure. And I'm not Batman or Spiderman or Aquaman or a wolfman or a merman. I'm not brahman or common or ramen, either.

I prefer this way as well. PvP sucks in fire emblem because camping outside of the enemy range is the best strategy.

Well to me it was more for just having fun and challenge I know you could get screwed over in a game like this but it was still very interesting.

Finding out about the past characters joining such as all other fire emblems main lords made me over look this and believe this will be my favorite FE except for RD, (SS was actually my favorite originally).

i wish there was multiplayer on actual maps, featuring a variety of objectives...defend throne, capture throne, escort, or straight melee. There could've been co-op too...oh the possibilities wasted.

TC, in the title of this thread take out "so no" and ", explain spot pass please?" and you're left with objective truth. Nintendo made a half-assed, shoddy, godawful excuse of am online mode just to get people to shut up about online, and act surprised when people complain about maxforged brave swords, and deliberately misconstrued that as "fans just don't want online". There are ways to make it work for Fire Emblem, but Nintendo doesn't even care anymore.

Seisen no Keifu is long, boring, jarringly slow, and thoroughly overrated.
