Would you support a chubby playable character in Fire Emblem?

No.

I see enough Chubby people from just walking down the street. Let me at least have this fantasy for this game that the majority of people I meet are somewhat decent looking and aren't chubby/fat.

What about Edward? He is arguably the strongest swordmaster in the game.

He's far from it. He comes in third after Mia and Zihark.

He starts to low then you get Zihark 5 chapters later does everything Edward wishes he could do only better.

Not according to serenes.

On average, Edward is better than both Zihark and Mia.

Stats Don't = Best unit

If this were true the loin king would be the greatest.

Why squander potential battle exp on a pre-promoted unit when I could earn twice as much per kill by letting a weaker unit fight instead? And yes, the unit with the best stats is the best unit. That's how it works.

because on anything higher than normal during the dawn bridgade chapters if you can't kill it on 1 turn IT WILL KILL you... especially lagus... outnumbered as heck too

by the time you get zihark he's already leagues better than edward in everyway with a better weapon and better skills I rather waste EXP on someone that would benefit me the whole game that to someone that would take longer to level and nerf my team as a whole especially when it matters most.... in act 1

You give the premoted units kills because they kill stuff then when they level they get stats. Rinse, Wash, Repeat you beat the game Yay.

Giving useless units exp does not matter how much they gain they are to low and you having one of your more powerful units drop it down to 1 hp so they can get a KO when that unit could have just killed it to being with.

It does not matter how much exp your gaining. You could gain 0 exp but if you can beat the chapter with this sole unit alone he/she is a great unit..

Because there is no reason to waste the exp on the weaker unit if he isn't going to be significantly better than someone else so he can take their spot. Eddie will be massively under leveled unless you take EXP away from the relatively useful DB guys to prop up a mediocre one, and you team will have much more trouble with the Laguz chapters than if you focus on Volug and Nolan/Zihark.

Meg never made sense because she was seriously too fat. If you were wearing heavy armor all day long, you wouldn't look like that. Plus the motions of fighting would work off most of the fat. In other words, you'd still be a really big person, but you wouldn't look that fat. Your physique would be more constrained to your muscles and bones.

I may not be able to defend meg but i do agree with the posters saying that if you put effort into a unit, it will pay off.

I had a recent playthrough with leonardo being my best archer. You could say that shinon is much better, but if you put effort into him it pays off. That was a fun hard mode playthrough

Some people play differently then others. A more slow and steady play style will benefit weaker unit as they will be able to get more exp and will be better covered opposed to a faster one where most of the kills will go towards stronger units that can handle a 2nd hit. Alot of units in the DB are irredeamably bad... However there are a few with high potential. Like Aran, edward and nolan, jill and the prepromotes.
