So, on Monday the 4th, go to your local GameStop and demand the game if they already have it and point out that the website says the release date is the 4th, NOT the 5th.

The release date has always been the 4th.
They made a moon base to survey my standards but they have yet to make visual contact.

Exactly, but why do some people keep saying it's the shipping date?

Because that tends to happen with some games. I remember when I ordered -niche game I'm embarrassed to admit I paid for- I showed up looking for it on the release date. They claimed that was the shipping date and it would be available the next day.
...What?

Because it's fairly standard GameStop practice.

It still seems silly to list the release as the 4th if they know they will be selling it the 5th. Not that anyone knows when it will be sold right now... I have already seen enough conflicting information for one lifetime thank you very much XD
