Maybe in an MMO it would be an issue. But getting married to another player in-game is a bit weird itself. >.>

wellll i think for this game it isn't an issue because marriage just means going to have a child. I'm pretty sure they may have some very "close" male x male, female x female relations in the game but I mean... without adoption... I don't think they will be having a kid... which is the only reason I think the marriage even matters in this game.

By the way, I voted Nah because it would cause a lot of headaches around the aspect of genetic inheritance so I can understand the develepors not wanting to touch it with a 40-foot pole. For that reason, mind you.

If you read Celes's post there is nothing that gives a hint towards him actually being gay. He's Feminine, and the society around him made him mistake his femininity for homosexuality. Just like there are Masculine Gay Men, and Feminine Lesbians, there are Feminine Straight Men and Masculine Straight Women. No, you are gravely mistaken. Homophobic/relgious girls(especially in high school) are extremely mean and judgemental. They'll do whatever it takes to make lesbians feel terrible. A person in my local area killed herself because girls at her school bullied her to no end for being lesbian.

Does this game force you to get married? Do you have to have children no matter what? If not, then why not let those who want same-sex marriage have it without the kids?

Is it an issue? Yes it is.

This game features a heavy focus on relationships and gives the player a choice of making those relationships happen. Providing the option to have same sex relationships is a logical progression of the series.

This series has already featured gay characters, this isn't shoehorning it in to make a point. The concept and the context is there, hopefully IntSys will make it happen in future installments.

But to clarify, I don't think the game is bad because it doesn't include the option. It's still a great game. But the addition of same sex relationships would make it better IMO.

Well I mean its bad but I find it was still more exceptable than boys/man being gay. Then again its religion so you'd expect that, but its odd when none religious people hate gay males.

Why is yes in all caps? I think it's an issue, but I don't feel anywhere near that strongly about it. It's a minor thing to me, just like the models apparently not having feet is minor to me. It doesn't detract pretty much at all from the experience, but I'd still like the option.

Pretty much this. It'd be nice to have it as an option (more options in games is a good thing), but I'm not going to get up in arms about it not being there.
