eShop: Midnight, February 4th EST (11 PM Central, 10 PM Mountain, 9 PM Pacific)
Retail: Officially this Monday, could be as late as the 8th depending on back order shipments

it's not as a result of this mishap, it was free in Japan for a bit too, and it's only the one that's free.

True, but it answers HankTank's complaint that "there should be free dlc for this."

Nintendo has always officially stated the release was the 4th, all reports about broken street date seem to be coming from third parties. Unless Nintendo officially stated somewhere the game was released February 1st, I'm going by what the eShop says, which is release is this Monday.

Well considering its got nothing to do with the actual retailers, you should be pissed at nintendo.

But it does. Because they're causing even more confusion. You can call 3 different stores of the same retailer within like a mile of each other and they'll all tell you something different. Not having information is one thing, but giving out a bunch of contradicting information is another.
