Series question: How many worlds are there?

#1Patriarch105Posted 2/6/2013 12:04:13 AM
Do all the fire emblems take place on the same planet or just different continents?

I assume different worlds for most of the games after reading about Ike's story.

My guess is three -- two is a little less likely but still plausible. One would require a lot of handwaving.

I was thinking atleast 4.

Marth's world. (Where all other worlds not mentioned are)

Eilwood/Roy's world

Erika/Ephrim's world

Ike's World.

Marth's World, Alm's World, Sigurd's World, and Ike's World are all actually the same World
Marth's and Alm's Continent are confirmed to be right next to eachother by this game, Jugdral had Naga, Forseti, and Salamander at least come from Marth's COntinent to help them against Loptous, an earth Dragon from Marth's Continent, and Priam is Ike's Decendant, who appears on this continent, because Ike travelled away from tellius at the end of Radiant Dawn and likely ended up on this Marth's or Alm's Continent.

So we have Ylisse (Akaneia), Valm (Valencia), Jugdral, and Tellius in the same world.
Then Elibe doesn't have any connections so far
And Niether does Magvel.

So the series has 3 or less worlds.

They made a moon base to survey my standards but they have yet to make visual contact.

According to the DLC, at least ten, maybe even thousands or infinite in number.

However, in terms of the actual games, at least two: Ike's descendant is explicitly said to have travelled from another world.

But it says right in Awakening that Ike traveled from another world and arrived in Marth's continent. Chrom says this. This is why Ike never returned in his game's ending. Because he couldn't.

Priam being Ike's descendent doesn't mean anything. All it implies is Ike got married after he traveled to a new world.

In Ike's games it also says that a great flood destroyed everything except Tellius and the kingdom of Hatari.

One last thing as I have no idea if this is true. Beorc's (The human race from Ike's game) Arn't actually human. The difference seems to be none but the Laguz use human as a dirogatory term so assumably they're different somehow.

That proves Tellius cannot be part of Marth's world.

Jugdral is harder to disprove but..... All the characters you listed in association with it are Dragons. Anna has in her control an Outrealm Gate which allows her to be in every world. Assembly this has something with The Dragon Gate which was in Elibe allowing dragons to also travel to different worlds.

As it always seems to be implied in these games that Dragon's are never from the world your currently in but somewhere else entirely as they are not extinct but never around.

So that leaves me to believe in 4-5 worlds.

I'm focusing on ones that appear in game. It ends up being 2-5 from my count. Though really it's all subjective "proof" and there could really only be one world and just a bunch of ignorant medival people spouting nonsense.

Remember the America's was called "The New World"

Assuming Nintendo doesn't do any major storytelling handwaving: 2~5 worlds.

"Hypothetically", there CAN be only 1 world and they're all divided by huge time gaps to the point that the names of continents/kingdoms are simply lost/re-written over the course of time. (ie. Ike isn't from another world, hes just from the distant past/future so much so that all the names he/everyone else is familiar with doesn't match up with Awakening's history.)
