Why is Sacred Stones so hated?

#1CrystalKing5426Posted 2/6/2013 9:41:13 PM
I'm not defending it, I'm asking because I've never played it. Of all the localized FE games, it seems to be the most heavily criticized. Why is that? What was there about it that's so polarizing?

I haven't played it, but I've heard people complain that it's too easy.

I thought Shadow Dragon was the most heavily criticized?

I enjoyed it, but it didn't really stand out to me as a strong FE game.

A lot of people disliked how easy it was compared to FE7, especially with infinite grinding battles and great character growths everywhere. I personally liked it.

It was very easy, the story (IMO) wasn't nearly as good as its predecessor. It has a few of the most broken units in the game, and allows for unlimited grinding (similar to this game).

Few reasons:

1. It had the unfortunate privilege of coming immediately after FE7, which was the first game released in the US and frankly one of the absolute best games in the genre. Doesn't stack up by comparison.
2. Sickeningly easy.
3. Generally subpar character development and story compared to the previous entry.

Not a bad game by any means, however.

It's easy and the characters/story are pretty unmemorable
