Whats with these 9.5, 9.6, 9.7?

Fear of commitment?

Game Informer, 9.7? You couldn't give it a 10? Come on!

Escapist Magazine gave it a 5/5, as well as DarkStation.

If you're worried that "low scores might not get as many people to buy this game", look at all the critic scores. I'd say they'd convince anyone who bases purchases from game reviews.

If it's a matter of a "professional"'s opinion not giving it the same regard you think it deserves... why do you care? No seriously, you (and pretty much everyone else on the rest of this board) were lucky enough Nintendo made a game that you can really like, why would you care that other people don't think it's as perfect as you think it is?

Seisen no Keifu is long, boring, jarringly slow, and thoroughly overrated.

He never said any of those things. You are the king of assumption, aren't you? I've seen these topics before. People make them in regard sto, "this game is so good, praise from all sides, no flaws, does not get 10 out of 10". This happens all the time, simply because of the type of game.

It's a handheld, strategy, Nintendo game. No matter how perfect it could truly be, it would never reach the ten that larger budget, popular games like Grand Theft Auto and CoD get to enjoy. At least not by big, known reviewers such as GI.

Quoting the Topic Creator's original post is stupid and redundant.
I'm here for intelligent arguments or flaming. It's your job to decipher which.

Keyword: IF. Listing possibilities != assumption.

And whose fault is that?

Who cares about gaming publication reviews anyway. They are the most corrupt in the world. Review scores are typically based on hype and how much money publishers are paying them. If a great game goes unnoticed, it will get an 8 instead of a 9. While a AAA game that is full of flaws will still get a 9 from a handful of sites getting top $$$ from publishers.

Fire Emblem not getting 10s is probably due to it being a low key game, not considered AAA.
