I'd say that short of reclassing, ...Henry... would qualify as flat out awful

This may be the least true thing anyone has ever said on this board. And that's saying something.

Especially since he comes around the point with buyable Nosferatu, he basically hits the ground running(I forgot his base defense, he'll basically tank anything if paired with Frederick or a Wyvern)

He's also amazingly wrong about Lissa, she can get and pass down Galeforce, and is basically your best healer for awhile. She also has great potential for a parent.

Another unit I'd say is amazing is Cordelia, I really doubt Sumia will be any better than her by the time she shows up, and she has much better class sets(giving her Armsthrift and Sol, can get Bowbreaker too) and she's much more tanky.

Crappy bases and growths. Only really good if you pair up someone with speed, and pairing up can make pretty much everyone good.

Enormous defense and access to unlimited Nosferatu. He's a member of the most broken class in the game. It hardly matters what his stats are.

Tharja exists.

I suppose I'm somewhat biased since Morgan was a Sorcerer for me and I was never hurting for Dark Mages. I wouldn't use him based on class alone considering he gets doubled when you first get him and his growths are pretty bad.

Can only speak for normal mode, but I loved using Tharja and Stahl. Usually together. Chrom's good enough to fight by himself. Lon'qu's a damn beast.

And? Tharja's existence doesn't make Henry any less broken. It just means you have two characters who better than almost everyone else on your team.

He did say aside from reclassing. It doesn't make much sense unless you don't plan on using a healer, but her access to Galeforce was explicitly set aside.

That said, Lissa is also one of the best units in the game, and reclassing is a big part of that.

Donnel is ridiculous. He solos chapters with a bronze sword no problem.
Okay, thats an exaggeration, but he still one hits every non-boss unit, and only runs the risk of dieing against mages (even then he has a massive hp pool).

His only problem is his skill pool/class choices.
Heroes/Warriors are also a bit lackluster if you compare them to the best of the best (like sorcerers, Dark fliers, whatever). And he doesn't have access to stuff like Gale force. So he's not the best character for super-endgame in a playthrough with tons of min-maxing. Before that point though, he's broken.

Pretty much every character is usable though, as long as you put effort into them, because there are infinite level ups FE:A. Still, some will take more work. But, I'd recommend using characters with personalities you like above all else.

Everyone is very usable in this game. Donnel is the hardest to get there though.

Donnel is extremely easy after he reaches level 10. Just reclass him to something...anything...and he turns into a BOSS

I'd say that short of reclassing, Maribelle, Donnel would qualify as flat out awful.

Maribelle keeps on killing herself whereas Lissa can survive in her base class.
