I always find myself turning off animations in Fire Emblem.

Doesn't matter how pretty this game is. I did the same thing with the previous ones on GBA.

Anyone think they're a bit redundant?

I know the Keyblade didn't choose me, and I don't care.
I'm proud to be a small part of something bigger-- the people it did choose.

Only time I ever turned them off in this was for extended Olivia dance-sessions on Ch11.
I never once turned them off in any of the GBA titles. I loved those animations. It was part of the appeal.

in every game i leave them on for my first playthrough and then turn them off to speed up my future ones but i always find i get bored of it without them on so i end up turning them back on so i can stand playing the game

I turn them off sometimes.

Then again I turn off animations in Disgaea after playing for a while, so I guess I like being efficient.

I usually don't turn them off until subsequent playthroughs.

This game however I turned them off about halfway through my first run, The models are horrible and the battle themes were lame.

I usually don't. Never did in the GBA games except when I was grinding up Nil's level.

At the point I'm at in Awakening right now, though, I'm destroying most of the minor enemies and skipping the animation because I know 100% what's going to happen. Maybe I should turn them off and save myself a few button presses.
