Can someone PLEASE make an optimal marriage guide?!

#1trinxifiedPosted 2/16/2013 8:51:55 AM(edited)
I'm tearing my hair out because I can't decide on who/when/how to marry my characters.

1. Who should be married to each other?
2. What classes/skills should they be upon marriage?
3. When should I consider marrying the pair?

and all other related questions lol... I'm assuming optimal means the best stats/skills for the children, but not necessarily the "canon"

EDIT: this is for my 2nd playthrough! I just married whoever was available on my first playthrough.

A signature? What would I want that for?
heh, not like anyone actually reads these.

Just do whatever you want. It doesn't make too much of a difference, the kids are always great.

I'm not Superman, that's for sure. And I'm not Batman or Spiderman or Aquaman or a wolfman or a merman. I'm not brahman or common or ramen, either.

There is no optimal marriage. Just either choose what you like, or choose what you want.

The only thing you should really be worried about are the male children characters who have mothers that have access to Dark flier, you want to at least try and pass down Galeforce to them.

Also, the only optimal marriage I would say is to have anyone but Sully marry Chrom due to she being the only one not having access to Galeforce for Lucina.

Sure there are some mod in stats, but chances are, if you can't find them yourself the stat caps aren't going to matter to you when the DLC comes out where it does matter.

It all depends on your party needs. Galeforce is good, but can be overrated for some units. Its all about what you need.

you get a legendary weapon of each type and then a legendary tome. So, just figure out your needs and marry them.

Honestly, I wouldn't obsess about this stuff on your first play through. Just marry people you want marry.

That said, there is an inheritance guide here:

Oh yeah definitely, don't bother planning for your first playthrough. My first run I had Chrom with Maribelle (Pointless) and Lon'qu with Tharja (Pointless.)

Yeah, there seriously isn't a 'best' set of marriages depending on what kind of units you like using and all that. Just do a tiny bit of thinking for yourself, it's not complicated in the slightest if you actually try and understand it.
