Actually, the "chip" manufacturing and the long winded post about queues are both wrong.

The reason the game didn't ship to date was because the manufacturing plant in Japan had a major breakdown during the manufacturing of this game. Two thirds of the manufacturing stations for this title were shut down and only one pressing station was available to make this particular title.

What Nintendo did was to push to get all the pre-ordereds filled on time (which it wasn't able to do in all cases) on the last pressing station while it repaired the problem with the two non-functioning stations.

Once the malfunction was sorted, they pressed and released the original amount of games intended, albeit at a later date.

Or, not.

How's the frame rate on the downloadable copy? If the cartridge has an extra chip then shouldn't the frame rate on the downloadable one be worse?

I downloaded and beat the game on hard and had no frame rate issues.

This is practically nonsensical. For a variety of reasons - the least of which being that FE is hardly pushing max 3ds abilities.

Odd reasoning, but it sounds so specific it could be true

On the note of frame rate issues, I notice the game lagging somewhat during battle sequences with lots of dragon/horse/wyvern models

Hi

Sup ORB. For some reason there's quite a few TF2 posters here.

As for the framerate thing, I mostly notice it if I'm actively speeding up the animations, i.e. holding A, with the dragons/wyverns/on screen

If I had to take a wild guess, TC made the whole story up, doesnt even have a girlfriend, and probably just wanted some attention...

Which you all gave him.

A signature? What would I want that for?

The story doesn't actually sound too fair fetched. If the Nintendo Rep really did say that he might of mixed the story up with Animal Crossing New Leaf.

There was actually a shortage of Animal Crossing since the catridges uses a different type of memory, SLC-NAND, which was in short supply when the game came out. This isn't some chip to speed up the frame rate though.

It is a faster type of memory since Animal Crossing would take a lot longer to save the game if the orindary memory in the catridges was used. This may be due to the fact that the size of the save files were a lot bigger than other games.

You can read about it here: http://www.another-castle.com/content/612-Nintendo-s-run-out-of-parts-to-make-Animal-Crossing-cartridges

However this doesn't seem to apply to FEA since there doesn't appear to be a lot of data for the game has to save.
