arvilinoPosted 3/10/2013 5:19:33 PM (edited) | Speaking of the review. I don't understand your jab at the treasure chests especially when you compare it to FE7 chest's which contain rare weapons and staves, gems, promotion items and stat boosters when FE13 has rare weapons, staves, bullions, promotion items and stat boosters. In fact FE13 gets you arguably more useful items even earlier since Paralogue 1 offers a Killer Lance and a Rescue Staff(which doesn't appear until I think around 28/29 in FE7). There are fewer chests but much like FE11 and FE12 there are enemies thieves who drop similar quality items, acting as essentially moving treasure chests. chests don't contain exclusive or particularly useful items, and are in short supply; and bonus maps are automatically unlocked. Going back again to Blazing Sword, there are several tricky-to-recruit PCs, many villages are tough to save, chests are deviously placed and contain great items and weapons, and Gaiden requirements often require a completely new approach. |

Also, the whole point behind my perception is that this dooderoni uses this playstyle as an excuse to give a perfectly fine game a 4/10 because it doesnt meet his linear, nostalgic, ELITIST(omg i said it!!!) standards.
Read the review. The main criticisms are poor story, mixed development, lazy map design, a lack of balance, and the presence of several game-breaking exploits. The "Lunatic can't be balanced properly" criticism gets one paragraph of discussion.
