Rate the Skill, Chapter 33: Magic +2 and Focus
what's up with you guys.
Magic+2 WOULD BE significant if you could get access to it on a meaningful character in the prologue, the only way you get access to it is if you waste a valuable(at the time) second seal to change into an awful class
Both C. Neither are awful skills, but on the same note neither should be kept around once you get better skills.

Except both mages you get at the beginning of the game are very much thankful to have it in the first place, considering the rough start they both have.
D rank is for skills that do basically nothing. Magic +2 does do something early game, therefor it cannot be D rank. Simple as that. That's also why anybody who was voting Lethality was D rank is simply crazy. Its far from the best offensive skill, but if you think its Charm or Indoor Fighter tier you're not thinking. Either that, or you're intentionally lowballing how you rate it to try to make ultimately end up in the rank you think it belongs.
Really TC, you should only allow one tier movement in revotes to try to reign in some of this craziness. Otherwise the outliners are going to intentionally way over/under rate skills to force it to move. It should only move from its original ranking if an overwhelming majority thinks it needs to move. Any vote that is more than a tier above or below the skill's original ranking is just ignored.

Magic+2: C. Gives you that extra punch in the early game, and two damage, while seemingly small, can definitely make a difference in a battle. Outclassed by All Stats+2, though that's an unfair comparison to make.
Focus: C. It's a good filler skill for early game, and through proper movements you can easily get that extra crit chance during Player Phase before moving walls up to protect your squishy mages from enemy attack afterwards. Gets outclassed in late game, though, but far from useless.
There is no "overkill". There is only "open fire" and "I need to reload."
D/D Miriel and Ricken are chumps and you'd just use All Stats +2 or reclass to Sage for the much better Tomefaire. Crit +10 is probably the biggest waste of a skill slot.
D for Magic +2
C for Focus
Whenever it's foggy out, I imagine my vision is being restricted to 3 squares. If only I brought a torch with me.
D and C. Magic+2 is just meh, and Focus... situational at best.

Both Mages? Who is the other mage besides the awful Mirel who is a waste of a spot after chapter 2. I am talking about Prologue through Chapter 5 in lunatic +
Magic +2: D it's something, but should get removed as soon as you can, the only +2 worth any amount keeping around IMO is speed +2
Focus: D, keeping units alone is a bad idea, you may not be able to safe them in the event of BS reinforcements.
Patrolling the Awakening message boards almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter...
