This was my first real FE experience but.....The first villain seemed to do what he did only for power, and the enjoyment of it, the second was just a megalomaniac, with a god complex, and the third was just an insane worshiper. They have no depth, and actions seem to serve no purpose other then to cause, destruction, misery, and death to all those around them.

Is Chrom the only sane king in the world?
Its commonly known on Gamefaqs that if anything is more evident than proven facts, its personal opinions.

Well, there are others...

...But those are in different games.
I always listen, I just don't respond.

The depth of the first two villains are only understood in their supports, unfortunately. Their ultimate goals were noble, but their methods were not, and they acknowledge that in the end.

Validar was pretty lame, though.

Usually FE villains have a tragic backstory or something that makes you understand them a little better.

No, they're usually much better. This game was a huge letdown in that area.

Exactly. I find this board very...hypocritical.

It's actually not "usual" at all, especially for early villains.

This. Nergal, Zephiel, Lehran, Hetzel, Black Knight, and Michalis were the only villains with good reasons. Also, I don't see any problems with megalomaniacs with a god complex, TC. Ashnard and Walhart are my faves because of that XD
