Passing Armsthrift?

I'm not sure if it's worth it or not. On the one hand, it's the level 1 skill of a basic class, so any child with the class in their set could pick it up easily enough. On the other hand, I don't really care about Patience, so passing Armsthrift from a parent saves me from having to spend 10 more levels in a base class just to pick up one ability. And it helps that all the level 15 promoted skills are either ones I don't really want or belong to classes that I'd be using anyway.

Mostly, though, I'm curious what kind of responses I'd get from asking something like this.

Easier to pass a level 15 skill than a level 1 skill, especially since leveling a base class takes a fraction of the time leveling an advanced class does.

What I usually do when I want a base class skill is go into it from Dread Knight at level 15. You save 5 level ups and get two extra skills, so yeah.

Well, it's Armsthrift, though; it and Sol are useful skills that I usually try to get right away.
