So....I've never played a Fire Emblem game before....

....And I don't have a 3DS. But this game seems kind of interesting the say the least. Would it be worth it getting a 3DS just for this game?

Not just for this, but if you plan on getting more 3DS games, then sure, this game is worth being the first.
... I'm sure I've said this at least 3 times in this board.

This game is really fun. And there are plenty of great 3DS games when you're done playing this one for 200+ hours. So I say yes!

Getting a system just for one game is never worth it.

But if there are other games coming that you might be interested in (like Pokemon), go for it.

Man....I am in a PICKLE. I really want to play this game but I'm worried about the fact there is literally nothing else on the 3DS I'm interested in....*sigh*

you must have bad taste in games then. the 3DS already has an amazing library (both e-shop and retail) of games that continues to expand. If you seriously can't find something else worth your time, you're either not looking hard enough, or, as I said, have bad taste in games.

Basically this. Dude, if you really want to play this game, but don't want to buy a console for one game, just wait and do research. Look up every game that's coming out/is out for 3DS and start making a little chart. Once there's enough games to justify buying the system, go ahead and do it, make FE:A your first game, and then buy later games knowing that you'll get more out of your system than a random gamble.

No system is worth one game, but most systems have games enough to warrant the system. Just be vigilant, aware, and patient.

Yes, because I am not that interested in acquiring a 3DS I must have HORRIBLE TASTE. Jesus Christ what a troll.
