Going to add my comments here from now on! Dual Support + is the only skill so far to not have a decimal average. And we've rated more than 80 skills (90, with the Paralogues)...

Think really hard on HOW you will be voting on Special Dance. This is not "Rate the Class", not Rate the Character and not "Rate the best Class for this Character". Remember what we are here for.

Also, I am sorry for the delay...but RL isn't sorry. Not in the slightest...

Characters that can learn Special Dance: Olivia.

Characters that start with Relief: Cynthia, Morgan (born from Cynthia, Cordelia or Sumia)

Characters that can learn either skill: Sumia, Cordelia, Lissa, Mariabelle, Olivia, Say'ri, Emmeryn, Aversa, Severa, Female Avatar, Female Morgan.

Characters that can inherit the skills and the class required: Lucina (Sumia, Mariabelle, Olivia, Avatar), Kjelle, Noire, Nah.

Characters that can inherit the skill but not the class required: Owain, Inigo, Brady, Male Morgan.

Characters that can learn Special Dance: Olivia.

Special Dance...first things first: Olivia is the ONLY character in the game that can make use of this skill, even if she can pass it to Lucina, Inigo and Morgan.

So...don't try this at home, kids.

With that out of the way...Special Dance gives a +2 bonus in Strength, Magic, Defense AND Resistance to whatever unit Olivia dances for, but only during that turn.

So, 2 more damage given and 2 less damage taken. It's small, but since it automatically comes with another turn for that unit, it get's a better. B Rank.


Relief will heal you for 20% of your total HP, if by the start of the user's turn, there are no friends or foes within a 3-tile radius. At best, it will heal you for 16 HP

This means it's good for hit-and-run tactics. This is better suited for fliers, since they can go hide farther from harm but can catch up quickly.

But unless you are going to an area with a single enemy (or more, if someone with Galeforce/Longbows/Mire kills them), so it's very situational. Renewal does a better and more reliable job, although nothing stops you from stacking both of them (and perhaps adding Bonds, Sol, Lifetaker and Nosferatu...damn, i need to try this out.).

It's low healing power and situational utility make same give it a C Rank.

Relief D

Both are too situational to be reliable. The first counts on you keeping Olivia as a Dancer or reclassing her (in the end of a string) to Dancer again since she's our only Dancer. So in reality, no, it's not that good since most of the strings she can cause would kill her (unless you're on Casual).

Relief requires you to just stick one of your units out in the (mostly) middle of nowhere. Honestly, I'd rather have Renewal.

If you're using Olivia as a dancer you might as well equip this skill. She's not going to be offense oriented in that class, and its a nice benefit.

Relief on the other hand, is flat out terrible. You have to send your unit far away from everything, hope they don't get ambushed by reinforcements, and then heal what will be about 4-6 HP a turn when your original Pegasus Knights earn the skill. It doesn't heal enough in a single turn to protect those frail units for an additional hit, and by the time you start skill hunting (where Relief would heal more), its pathetic compared to Renewal.

Special Dance at least has some niche utility. Relief is completely outclasses.

Special Dance
Even in a no grinding game Special Dance's bonuses come at such a late point in the game that it's barely noticeable. If you are grinding, then the stats are so inflated that a +2 stat bonus to an individual unit is even more mediocre. This is especially as rally bots are a factor at this point.

Special Dance does get some bonus points for helping train weaker characters and getting characters those rare circumstances where it may just barely over the +5 speed threshold.

If you're using Olivia as a dancer you might as well equip this skill. She's not going to be offense oriented in that class, and its a nice benefit.

You can still use her to kill off stragglers (with Galeforce), and having a high offensive Olivia is good simply because she is likely to be the dual strike partner of whomever she is dancing for.

Relief
Relief is just a horrid skill on the wrong class. Relief is pretty pointless on a Pegasus Knight in a no-grind run, and it is even more pointless if you do grind. It does have some redeeming benefit in that "alone" doesn't count the pair-up partner however.

It's too bad there isn't an F, or else I would rank them D and F in order.

That said, C for special dance and D for relief.

B for both. Special Dance is actually quite good for its utility. Useless if shes not a dancer, sure, but if she is (and she probably should be in the long run), then theres no reason to not turn "extra action" into "extra action with buffed stats." As for Relief, it may be worse than renewal, but its certainly a LOT more practical to get, and the healing it provides really isn't that bad. Plus, it jives well with Galeforce, which, as they're part of the same promotion line, is somewhat of a plus.
