My Prince Marth is about as good as he can get.

All of his stats are maxed and his Skill set is:

All Stats +2
Armsthrift
Swordfaire
Patience
Lethality

When Limit breaker arrives, everyone is gonna swap any out all stats +2 on any character that has it.

That's a pretty nifty set-up.

That set is so bad considering Marth could get ANY skills he wanted.

Admittedly
My set-up would probably look like

Luna
Armshrift (seeing as Marth is +Luck/-HP)
Counter
Aeigis
aaaaaaand.......
Swordfaire/Limit breaker/can't decide
(This is DLC 'Aptitude' Marth, by the way)

you could use marth in game if you wanted, but why? hes inferior to all your other units. aptitude will help him, and so will his ability to reclass into anything, but with no supports he will become dead weight in no time.

If you're not focusing on supports, those characters would be very useful.

But getting onto the main point

DLC Marth is really meant for early game (because he gets strong very fast, and helps plow through enemies)
It's the reason the 1st DLC is so easy, and available straight away.

DLC Marth helps people get through the early game quite fast.
King Marth is potentially the best Marth thanks to Rightful King, but you don't have access to him straight away

Most of the Spotpass/DLC characters are actually better than 1st gen characters, but no supports harm them (female units and some male units bypass this with Dual Support+). Supports though are not all that important unless you're playing Lunatic+, where they're a necessity, and if you're like me, you may never even bother trying Lunatic+.

So yeah, DLC Marth might be dead weight if you focus supporting.
However
Get's strong very fast, so reclassing him isn't that bad either, thanks to aptitude.
You use them for Nolstalgic reasons.
Potentially better than most gen 1 characters.

Supports aren't everything.

Pr. Marth is actually one of the best character in the game because of Triple Dual

The advantage of supports is like.... 50% chance of DS, and +2 on some stats

We were talking about DLC 'Aptitude' Marth

Spotpass 'Dual skill' Marth is the best supporting unit in the game, behind a Maribelle or Avatar mothered Lucina, as he get's all the dual skills. (also comes with Luck +4 (Dancer) and Charm (Lord))

But anyway, let's let this topic die now
(doesn't help that I'm fueling it)
It was a not well thought out topic
and is pointless now as it's been resolved

lolno
Shadow Dragon Marth wastes 3 Skill slots just to do what A rank support does by itself.

Underdog focus on internal level, reclassing isn't gonna help at all.

Underdog uses displayed level. +20 for promoted units.

......errrrr
+220.....what?

Donnel+Panne --> Yarne+Avatar --> Berserker Morgan = 51 Speed, 50 Luck = 101 Dodge
___Breaker + Lucky Seven + Quick Burn + Underdog = +100 Hit/Dodge
Titania's Axe --> Patience = +10 Dodge

Fill in the last 9 Dodge how you want: Limit Break, forest tile, weapon advantage, etc.

This sentence is as meaningless as you.

...so a Lucina who learns Dual Support+ from having Maribelle or FeMU as a mother is the best supporting unit in the game?
