After getting a lot of Tharja's support I realized that she's nice.

Spoilers below I guess?

She :

Helped Libra deal with his past
Went out of her way to gather the regents needed to help Lon'qu forget about his past that caused him nightmares
Lied to Nowi about her parents to not cause her grief, comforted her later when she realized what happened
Stopped Noire from learning the Dark Arts so she wouldn't hurt herself
Had Virion build a bridge to allow children to cross a river safely
Again had Virion repair the barracks so the soldiers could sleep without the rain getting in
Located Kellam's family he wasn't receiving news from

I haven't done all of them yet (Still have Stahl, Gregor, Henry and Ricken left).

After seeing all that I can't help to feel that she's one of the playable character that actually helps the most in the army.

IIRC

Ricken tries to learn curses or dark magic from her, and She hearrd of a silver haired boy who was with Crows, then put a curse on him and asked him stuff,

I've gotten up to an A with Gregor's. To not spoil the details, she helps him too.

Everyone bashes Tharja's personality, but from what I've seen, she's actually nicer than most people give her credit for. >_>

Between all that, Gregor's support, and curing everyone in the army from a disease in Donnel's support, Tharja is a lot nicer than she has people think she is.

yeah, her attitude is mostly a facade because it's how dark mages are "supposed" to act. Also maybe some sob story bull**** in the Japanese version? She'd probably be more happy in the GBA games where dark mages are basically glorified scholars or whatever.

Tharja gets flack for these reasons:

1) How she treats Noire
2) How she treats her husband trying to protect Noire
3) How coldly she treats Morgan as her mother.

I would think that a woman who would be willing to utterly change her personality at MU's whim wouldn't take offense at a simple request to not afflict their daughter with symptoms of disease.

I can't tell if there is a disconnect or what, but as a mother/wife she is... Yeah.

Well the way I see it, Tharja uses Noire as a curse test subject to target the Risen in their future. We know Tharja does good things in a dark way. She couldn't test curses on anyone else but her own daughter.

Well, not really in the future though. But in the present, yes.

And I guess I get why some people liked her. Doesn't avoid her from being a bit overrated tho.
