yeah, her attitude is mostly a facade because it's how dark mages are "supposed" to act. Also maybe some sob story bull**** in the Japanese version? Well the way I see it, Tharja uses Noire as a curse test subject to target the Risen in their future. We know Tharja does good things in a dark way.
