question about character dlc...

#1sonofkorolPosted 4/12/2013 4:05:22 PM
I just picked up the game and wanted to get the Marth DLC (blahblahfanboyyaddayadda) and had a bunch of questions.

1. Do I buy it in game?
2. Can I do the DLC from whatever point I want? Or does it start it up automatically?
3. What level should I be when I do the Marth DLC?
4. How much does it cost?

Thanks for any help!

1. You buy it in-game, but you have to be past Chapter 4.
2. You can freely use the DLC after beating Chapter 4. It's replayable, too.
3. It should be manageable as soon as you get it.
4. $2.50 without tax just for Marth's map, $6.00 for a Pack that includes two other Maps, two more characters, and a special DLC-only Skill.

1. Yes
2. DLC can be done whenever after CH. 3
3. Champions of Yore 1
4. I think $2.50

1) You can get the DLC in-game from the Outrealm gate, and select, 'Purchase DLC'
2) You can access the DLC whenever you want, after you've cleared chapter 4, of the story
3) Your level once you buy it should be good enough for bthe DLC
4) Assuming you have the American version, It should cost $2.50, but if you plan on buying the other DLC, you might as well get it in a pack, which would cost you $6.00
Saves you $1.50 (someone else should check these prices, I'm just assuming)

are the dlc characters much use outside the sake of having them?

Depends on what you want to use them for. Marth in particular's not bad for beating the game, Micaiah's fun for low-turn counts, and characters like Celica are fun for Rightful King. Generally, they're outclassed by the main characters, but they can still be any class and have certain niche skills. Also, you can be sacrificial with them on Classic since you can recruit them over and over again.

The DLC Skills are definitely valuable though (Limit Breaker and Paragon in particular).

What other characters do you get with the $6.00?

For the Champions Pack, you get Marth, Roy, and Micaiah. Micaiah in particular's interesting because she has a Skill that lets her use Dark Magic in any Magic-using class. Micaiah's map also gives another Skill that boosts all your Stats by 2 points. Roy's map is one of the best for late-game or post-game grinding as well.

Note, they all have the same actual map, but the enemies and formations are different.

There is, depending on where you live.

Tax on the Nintendo points, but not on the maps.
Then again, I've only seen Cal's prices.
