1. What does the skill boost the support level to? A or S?
2. Does it boost the support between two chars in a pair up, regardless of position of the char. with the skill?
3. Does it work even if support is not possible between two chars? (i.e. Walhart and Maribelle)

thanks :)

That should answer the questions you have.

I had no idea that support levels can still increase even after you get a S rank support

1. It boosts the effective "total support rank" by 4. This is the equivalent of changing No Support to S-rank. Note, however, that it does not increase Dual Attack/Guard chances or (when applicable) Pair Up stat boosts.

2. Yes. As long as the character with Dual Support + is showing up in battle (active or support) the skill will work.

3. Yes, it will work even if no actual support conversations are possible.

Which is why Puerto Rican Marth (Spotpass) is valued so much.

So if you pair up 2 characters with an S support you have rank 9?

Do you just have to have extra characters next to each other for 12?
Or do they have to actually be in the battle with the lead?

Like if you had 1 character surrounded by 3 others with A support that would give the max bonus? Which means with 1 pair up the max is 9? Or 12 if both units have dual support?
Does dual support stack?

In regards to 1.
If it doesn't boost Dual Attack/Dual Guard rates, and it doesn't boost pair-up stats, then what other support bonuses are there?

So is it useless?

It boosts the stats that characters get in battle, namely Hit Rate, Avoid, Critical Chance, and Critical Avoid.
