Marrying Chrom to Olivia

How does one go about doing this? I am kind of lost.

You keep Chrom away from all of the other candidates , and keep Olivia and Chrom next to each-other for the whole chapter.

Chrom marries automatically after chapter 11, the chapter which introduces Olivia. If all of his other potential suitors are dead or taken, he will then marry Olivia.

You may also have him marry Olivia by simply not getting ANY support convos (not even C rank) with his other suitors. It then becomes a contest of who has grown closest to Chrom via pairing up, standing next to each other, etc. Anything that makes the heart effect. Pairing Olivia with Chrom in chapter 11 nearly guarantees she will be Chrom's bride assuming these conditions.

Don't open the C support of other girls

Solo chapter 12 with Chrom paired with Olivia

That's how I do it

I usually just have her pair up with Chrom, eat a Seed of Trust, keep them in the corner for the whole map with Olivia dancing her heart out, clear out everyone except Gangrel, then feed the kill to Chrom (paired up with Olivia) for dramatic reasons.

Oh, and I try not to field Sumia except for skirmishes or keep her away from Chrom and with Frederick or Gaius in case I have to have her marry them as an emergency, even though she won't build support anyway. Can't be too careful, since I want her to marry Henry.

I find it impossible for Chrom to not be the one to strike down Gangrel <,<

I fed him Walhart too, and most bosses.

It becomes a lot easier if you pair off all his other options. Of course, if you want to pair any of the others with Henry (or a female Avatar with anyone who joins after chapter 11) that's impossible.

Aside from that, kill everyone on the map except a ranged enemy, probably a mage. Keep Chrom and Olivia in the corner and have her dance for him every turn. The enemy you left alive will repeatedly attack at a range to avoid counterattacks and therefore never die, and since it's just one enemy, you can heal their damage as long as you need to. Seeds of Trust help if you have them, but they aren't really necessary.

Be aware that in the event of a tie, it operates on a priority system. Olivia is second-to-last, only ahead of a female Avatar. So if Chrom gets too many support points with Sumia, Maribelle or Sully, pairing him with Olivia may become impossible. You can get around that by pairing the obstructing character with someone else, though.

As it turns out, this isn't quite true: Chrom will marry whoever has the most support points and isn't already married, even if she is dead (admittedly, none of Chrom's potential wives actually die when killed -the plot won't allow that- but it's more fun to say). Thus, your only option to remove someone from the running is to marry her to someone else.

Don't view C rank support with any potential wives of Chrom.

In the chapter Olivia joins, pair them up and use seed of trust.
End Map. Congrats on your ChromxOlivia pairing.
