love this game but this 1 thing is so annoying!!!!!

Why is it that you can be attacked through walls!!!!

This is really annoying me now! Its strange that when there is a door or walls like in a castle battleground you can't physically walk over them or go through them but you can attack through them! And the AI enemies constantly take advantage of this! And its so annoying!! I always think I'm safe then an archer plods up to a wall then bam! Dead.... Errrr hello there is a friggin wall there!!

I wouldn't mind if they could attack over the wall but there should be a massive drop in hit percentage for attacking through or over a wall or the wall could atleast be shown in the battle.... Anyone else find this annoying?

The enemies are always placed aswel so that you have to walk down a corridor first and can't reach them, but when its their turn they get a free shot at you as they are in range to walk to the wall where you had to go :(

You can press Y to overlay the map with indicators that show what squares are "threatened" (i.e. what squares enemies will be able to attack on their next turn). You can use this to stay just outside their range. You can also use it to trick the enemies into going after specific characters, by putting only those characters into their range.

Yeah, it was kinda confusing for me too. I thought I could safely move my flying units to the tops of the cliffs in Chapter 10 (they were pretty tall cliffs!) but they were just for show, the enemies at ground level could still attack me.

You'd think that cutscene in chapter 9 where Flavia takes down Emmeryn's executioner with a throwing axe from ground level might have been a tip-off.

Yes I do know you can attack 2 but don't you think its a tad stupid that a wall just dissolves into nothing and allows attacks to go through!?

And I also know you can press Y to show the threatened squares but like I said, sumtime you have no choice but to go a way down a corridor and you can't reach an enemy but then they get the first chance to attack through the wall on their turn!

Its simple, if there is a wall you can't just shoot arrows through it lol and I don't see why they even put them there to restrict your movement if you can jst attack through them anyway.... Just plain dumb and annoying, its my only negative about the game and I'm not sayin it breaks it, I jst find it very annoying.

The obvious solution is, if there's no other choice, only put someone who can attack back next to the wall. The ai has no self-preservation, and will happily attack you, only to attacked back and die.

I suppose but I still think that maybe this should have been thought through a bit better, like I say have the wall appear in battle and show the attacks scaling the wall or atleast drop the hit percentage for an attack through the wall... Its just for it to be completely dismissed is silly.

This game does feels like it took a step backward from POR/RD in regards to map design and mechanics. In those games they had walls that you can't shoot through and walls that you CAN shoot through like a fence or a columned wall.
